Welcome to the Sri Lankan Buddhist Association of Newcastle

We are a non-profit community organization, established on 29th June 2015, dedicated to preserving and promoting Theravāda Buddhism and Sri Lankan cultural heritage in the Newcastle and Hunter regions of New South Wales, Australia. Our mission is to provide a spiritual and cultural sanctuary for Sri Lankans and all individuals interested in the teachings of the Buddha.

Through Dhamma teachings, meditation sessions, cultural events, and community outreach, we aim to foster a harmonious and compassionate community.
