About Us
Who We Are
The Sri Lankan Buddhist Association of Newcastle (SLBAN) is a non-profitable organisation established on 29th June 2015, dedicated to promoting the teachings of the Buddha and preserving the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Sri Lankan Buddhist community in Newcastle and the surrounding regions.
Founded by a group of dedicated Sri Lankan families, SLBAN has grown into a welcoming spiritual home where individuals and families come together for Dhamma practice, cultural celebrations, community service, and educational programs.
We warmly welcome people from all walks of life—regardless of background—who are seeking peace, wisdom, and compassion through the path of Buddhism.
